Why dogs are not allowed in the park
Thank you for your interest in the Park of Gardens. Firstly, please note that assistance and therapy dogs are permitted with appropriate proof.
Otherwise, the Park der Gärten is a facility where dogs are not allowed.
We are sure that you and the majority of visitors would make sure that your dog does not soil or damage the paths and flowerbeds, but experience, including that of other garden shows, has shown that not all dog owners act so responsibly. Unfortunately, all it takes is one unleashed dog to smell one of the hares in our grounds and the floral splendour can be destroyed. Or a dog turd on one of our many playgrounds or on the large open space with sunbeds and the opportunity to have a picnic can ruin your enjoyment of the park. Dog urine would also have a clearly negative impact on the plants in the park.
We therefore ask that you, as a dog owner, leave your dog at home, in your hotel/ guesthouse/ holiday flat, in a kennel or with other dog owners when you visit the Park of Gardens.
This is not intended to discriminate against dog owners, but to benefit all users of the Park der Gärten.
