Frequently asked questions

Dogs are not allowed in the park, even if they are carried in transport boxes or bags. The exception is for assistance and therapy dogs with the appropriate certification. More information can be found here.

If you have your day ticket stamped with a day stamp at the ticket counter when leaving the park, it remains valid for the day.

 

The vouchers can be redeemed, as stated on the vouchers, from Monday to Friday during the season. This also applies during the Illumination - "Lichtzauber im Park". The vouchers do not apply to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

 

"Yes. Provided the day ticket has not been validated, you may use a day ticket from a previous season or a current one in a future season."

Retirees per se are not beneficiaries and do not receive any reduction on the admission price.

 

We ask organized groups, such as bus groups, clubs, etc., to register through our website. The registration form can be found here.
The exact number of participants should be communicated no later than 3 working days before the visit.
No ticket reservation or advance purchase is necessary.
If a visit to the park’s restaurant is planned, a reservation is recommended at 04403-817760 or 0152 53387763."

Special events in the Park of Gardens are events that are not included in the park entrance fee. These include, for example, evening stage events of the series "Zu Gast im Park" – organized by MITUNSKANNAM.REDEN.

The events "Illumination – Light Magic in the Park," "Playing in the Park," as well as the markets "PflanzenWELTEN im Park," "Genuss im Nordwesten," and "Herbstmarkt im Park" are not considered special events and are included in the park entrance fee.

You can also visit the park during events in the stage area, such as events from the series "Zu Gast im Park" by MITUNSKANNAM.REDEN. Only the area in front of the stage will be closed off for park visitors and reserved for event attendees.

There will also be parallel stage events on some evenings during the Illumination.

Please also note the park rules and event guidelines regarding the bringing of bags, food, drinks, etc.

Handcarts, walkers, and wheelchairs can be borrowed free of charge (with a deposit) at the ticket counter in the visitor centre.

You are welcome to bring your picnic into the park and choose one of our theme gardens or a spot on the lawns, subject to availability.

However, the consumption of your own food and drinks (except baby food) is prohibited in the gastronomic facilities and during special events in the stage area. This may also apply to the entire park during certain special events.

Barbecuing is not permitted in the Park of Gardens.

Unfortunately, this is not possible for organisational reasons. We ask for your understanding.

 

Cycling is prohibited in the park. E-scooters are also not allowed.

Exceptions are mobility aids for people with severe disabilities who have a disabled person’s ID. Mobile aids for seniors, such as senior mobility scooters with electric drive, are also permitted.

Balance bikes or small manual scooters for children are allowed.

We kindly ask visitors with mobility aids to move especially carefully in the park.

If you are missing something, please feel free to contact the ticket counter at 04403 - 81 96 50. Lost items are kept here for a while before being brought to the Lost and Found office of the municipality of Bad Zwischenahn.

 

Illumination - "Lichtzauber im Park"

The Illumination is not a special event, so the regular day ticket applies. Entrance is free for annual pass holders and for persons under 18 (accompanied by an adult). There is no evening ticket available during the Illumination.

A reservation is not required and not possible (except for bus groups).

With the day ticket, you can leave the park multiple times on the same day if you have a day stamp from the ticket counter and return in the evening for the Illumination or to retrieve something from your car.

What you should also know ...

A bus stop for lines 350 and 370 is located directly in front of the visitor centre. The buses run every 30 minutes.

At the rear of car park P1, there are four charging points (wall boxes) available for use. Charging is free of charge, but donations can be made via the onsite donation box.

Located directly at the Park of Gardens (P1), there is a campervan site. Here, you can stay year-round, even outside the park season, on one of the 12 parking spaces. The spaces cannot be reserved.
The site features gravel and grass surfaces. The campervan site is equipped with a power charging station, a seasonal water connection, a disabled-access toilet, and a "CamperClean" service. Wastewater disposal is also available.  For frost protection reasons, the water supply is shut off from the end of October to the beginning of April. The toilet facility and CamperClean are out of operation during this period.

Dogs are allowed on the parking area.

For your holiday in Bad Zwischenahn, every overnight guest requires a guest card. You can book this from the comfort of your own home, either via the WELCMpass app or via the WELCMpass-Webseite. There is an ADAC bike service station in front of the visitor centre. Minor repairs to bicycles can be carried out independently and free of charge directly on site.
